ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL WASHING OR IRONING INSTRUCTIONS?
In the first instance, search for the original garment care label that could still be attached to the salvaged piece. It is specifically recommended to hand wash the custom pieces in COOL water with laundry detergent and successful outcomes have been achieved with washing many pieces this way.
It is recommended to iron the customised images from the inside of the garment to avoid direct heat that could damage customised details such as a vinyl lightening bolt pattern for example. A useful tip could be to use baking paper as a barrier between the custom piece and an iron. Again, successful outcomes in ironing have been achieved by using both these methods.
Please feel free to contact Kimbralou if you are still unsure via the email in ‘Contact Us’ .
